What the hell is web 2.0?  Fair enough there is a whole heap of hype and groping for the next big thing.  But check out the inter-related phenomena* of blogging, RSS, MySpace, YouTube, Flickr, Wikipedia and tagging technologies such as del.icio.us and what grabs you by the balls is the addictive intoxication of social networking and the evolution of a new open source, global community in which everything that matters is connected and a new superpower is coming to life.

So what's next?  Well wrap your rock 'n' roll imaginations around this lot and then invent what's next.  This blob of RnRi includes a "web 2.0 sheep-dip" plus assorted goodies picked up from time to time.

* by the way, there are a million other web 2.0 start-ups to catch your liddle rock 'n' roll imaginations so an equally big round of applause for those busily on their way to making it

Web 2.0 sheep-dip...

"your social recommender"

The company itself is stomping around a variety of ideas it seems, most of which cling to the social networking web 2.0 concept.  Not sure about their buzzvote.com which - on a flying visit - was showcasing an online vote to determine (I kid you not) whether sellotape, stapler or paperclip are the  most useful.  I hit the 'skip this one' button and was rewarded with "which do you prefer - paper or plastic?".  Erm, give a shit?
